CX FASTSET AC – High Quality pawer Block ChemicalÂ
The liquid CX FASTSET AC is delivered in a light yellow to white color. It disperses agglomerated cement particles, which speeds up hydration and improves the performance of the water content in cementitious mixes. When using steam curing, sulphate-resistant cement, embedded or prestressed steel, or any of these situations, CX FASTSET AC should be swapped out for CX FASTSET AN, a chloride-free accelerating concrete admixture.
Uses: As an accelerator to provide quick strength development in concrete and cement mortar, allowing formwork to be stripped off early and assisting in preventing the effects of frost. Perfect for work in the cold.
Application
Overdosing: Taking more than the recommended amount will result in faster workability. Air that is entrained may somewhat increase.
Dispensing: A suggested dispenser should be used to measure the exact amount of CX FASTSET AC. See the CHEMAX office or a representative for guidance on installing the right equipment. It is best to add the measured amount of CX FASTSET AC to the mixer right away, ideally concurrently with the mixing water.
Quantity:
Over 40°C
-> Mortar & Concrete: 1 litre (Extra rate for every 100 kg cement)
-> 1.7 liters of granite floor toppings (additional fee per 100 kg cement)
Block sizes range from 1.7 to 3.4 liters, depending on the circumstances (additional charge per 100 kg cement).
2.6 liters (additional rate per 100 kg cement) between 40C and -20C.
At a temperature below -20°C, 3.4 liters will protect concrete or mortar up to -50°C.
Curing: It is advisable to follow standard, good curing procedures.
Cleaning: Water can be used to wipe up CX FASTSET AC spills.
Power Block hardener Advantages
placing of concrete
Allows continued placing of concrete at low temperatures.
Reduces segregation
Reduces segregation and increases density and compressive strength
Enables earlier
Enables earlier release from precast moulds thus speeding production
Reduces the water
Reduces the water content of concrete or mortar without loss of workability
Accelerates
Accelerates the hardening of floors and screeds.
Additional frost protection
Gives additional frost protection by reducing the low water content and accelerating hydration of cement
